| Jericho Jonas B. Nograles was confirmed as President and Chief Executive Officer, and Member of the Board of the National Power Corporation (NAPOCOR) on 11 September 2025. Mr. Nograles has dedicated 15 years of public service, highlighted by his work in energy, infrastructure, education, and economic reform. He served as Vice Chairperson of the House Committee on Energy, was an active member of the Joint Congressional Power Commission, and sat in the Joint Congressional Committee on Biofuels. Among his legislative accomplishments is the “Electric Cooperatives Emergency and Resiliency Fund Act of 2017 (RA 11039),” a landmark law that strengthens disaster resilience and supports the goal of total electrification. He has also been active in the private sector, with extensive experience in public policy, governance, and organizational leadership. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for building consensus across stakeholders, advocating evidence-based policy, and driving reforms in highly regulated sectors. As President and CEO of NPC, Mr. Nograles is committed to advancing the Corporation’s mission of reliable, affordable, and sustainable electrification, particularly in missionary and underserved areas, while ensuring fiscal discipline, operational efficiency, and innovation in line with the country’s energy transition goals. Mr. Nograles earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from Ateneo de Manila University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia. He was also conferred the degree of Doctor of Public Administration, honoris causa, by Sulu State College. |
