
The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) governing the review of NPC’s executed contracts/agreements was signed on 17 September 2024 between the National Power Corporation (NPC) and the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel (OGCC).
NPC President & CEO Fernando Martin Y. Roxas, Solomon M. Hermosura, Government Corporate Counsel (GCC), and Basilia S. Angeles, Assistant Government Corporate Counsel (AGCC) of the OGCC signed the MOA, sealing the partnership between the two GOCCs. The MOA signing was also attended by NPC Senior Vice President & COO Atty. Melchor P. Ridulme and Acting Vice President of the Office of the Legal Counsel, Atty. Charity C. Jayma, among others.
Under the terms of the partnership, which started in June 2024, NPC’s contracts will be reviewed, and an OGCC Special Task Force led by an AGCC will be assigned to resolve NPC complaints in accordance with the MOA.
In compliance with the GCG Memorandum Circular No. MC. No. 2018-02 dated 03 January 2018 and in accordance with OGCC MC No. 2023-01 dated 10 January 2023, NPC is directed to submit for review its executed contracts/agreements to the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel (OGCC).
