NPC Magat Watershed Area Team participated in a back to back undertaking of clean up drive and tree planting and nurturing on 21 & 22 November 2024 in Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.

In coordination with Barangay Local Government Unit Namnama, NPC-MWAT joined the Clean-Up Drive at Magat Reservoir to assist community members in clearing debris and garbage washed down from the upper portions of the Magat Watershed and uprooted trees caused by recent typhoons in Isabela.

A Tree Planting Activity was conducted similar to the initiative held earlier this year in the same area in Sitio Erosion, Barangay Namnama. A total of 480 seedlings composed of 360 Cashew, 40 Cacao, 60 Guyabano, 20 Balitbitan, 10 Chestnut, 5 Lomboy, and 5 Marang, were planted in in an effort to replace the seedlings that did not survive the initial planting and to further expand the reforestation of the 12 hectare fire-affected area.

These collective efforts highlight the continued commitment to environmental restoration and community resilience within the Magat Watershed Reservation.
