It was never a competition, but complementarity,” Ms. Josie Dela Cruz said regarding the relations between men and women in the workplace or their roles in society. The former Bulacan Governor and Postmaster General addressed NPC employees during Monday’s Flag Raising Ceremony as the Corporation opened Womenโ€™s Month, which carries the theme, “๐‹๐ข๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ง๐š๐ง๐  ๐๐š๐ญ๐š๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐š ๐๐š๐ ๐จ๐ง๐  ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐š๐ฌ: ๐Š๐š๐ค๐š๐ฒ๐š๐ก๐š๐ง ๐ง๐  ๐Š๐š๐›๐š๐›๐š๐ข๐ก๐š๐ง, ๐๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ง๐š๐ฒ๐š๐ง”.

Ms. Josie emphasized in her message the importance of men and women partnering to achieve success. โ€œMaximize strengths and create synergy from partnerships so that success becomes easier, more achievable,โ€ she said.

She also encouraged all women to continue striving for their goals, just as men have done. โ€œMarch is a celebration of every contribution of women, yes, but the greater significance of this month is, there may be better and more beautiful things women can do,โ€ Mam Josie quipped.

To celebrate Womenโ€™s Month, NPC employees will join #PurpleFridays and will hold a film showing featuring women’s empowerment.
