NPC considers it a milestone to have finished the transmission system in the province of Masbate, especially the rehabilitation and completion of the Mobo – Aroroy 1, 2 and 3 69 kV transmission lines and the extension project connecting it to the electric coop’s substation in Aroroy.

Along with the said transmission line, NPC on Wednesday, January 24, also inaugurated the completed 76 km Mobo to Cataingan 69 kV transmission line and the additional four units of 600 kW generating sets in Ticao Island, Masbate. The four units became operational since May 2017 and sustain the 24/7 operations of Ticao Island Diesel Power Plant which services 13,000 households.

Meanwhile, the completed transmission system will benefit 71,000 households in the province. NPC said that it will reduce systems loss and improve power supply and dispatch in the province.

Present in the inauguration were NPC officials and employees led by Vice President for Power Engineering Services Atty. Rogel T. Teves and the Masbate government leaders headed by Governor Antonio Kho.
