NPC, Philippine Army Plant Trees in Benguet for Civil Service Anniversary

To celebrate the 122nd anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service, NPC’s Upper Agno River Watershed team and the 2nd platoon 4th Benguet Civilian Auxiliary Army Company of the Philippine Army planted tree seedlings in Sitio Adonot, Ambuklao in Bokod, Benguet.

The team planted 250 seedlings of various tree species and agreed to hold another tree-planting activity to invite more participants.

Being one of the 11 watersheds under NPC’s stewardship, the Upper Agno River Watershed supports the Ambuklao and Binga hydroelectric power plants. The highest mountain in Luzon, Mount Pulag sits on the watershed’s northeast border.
