NPC's San Roque Watershed team joins various local community activities

NPC's San Roque Watershed Area Team (SRWAT) has recently volunteered their time and energy for the conduct of different community programs in Sitio Daynet, Ampucao, Itogon, Benguet, a resettlement area

located inside the watershed reservation.

The team led the fisher folk's boat inspection to ensure their safety, joined the listing of Registry System for Basic System in Agriculture which was led by the Municipal Agriculturist, and the immunization of 11 dogs and a cat within the community which was led by the Office of the Provincial Veterinary.

The San Roque Power Corporation (SRPC) in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross has also invited the residents for a scene safety training that aims to impart practical knowledge on giving first aid in times of emergency. They were taught how to check a patient’s responsiveness and listen to the breathing and feeling circulation, among others. Also imparted among the participants were the assessment of deformities, open wounds and tenderness & swelling. SRPC saw this information as necessary since the community is located in a remote area in Itogon.

The San Roque Watershed in Benguet and in portions of Pangasinan is one of NPC's 11 watershed areas that support power generation.
