Sacol Island gets round the clock power service
NPC on Friday, November 8 has started the 24/7 operations of its Sacol Diesel Power Plant in Sacol Island, Zamboanga City.
The power plant services over 500 households in four barangays of the island namely Barangays Busay, Landang-Laum, Landang-Gua and Pasilmata.
The ceremonial switch on was held at Garden Orchids Hotel and graced by Cong. Jose Manuel Dalipe, Zamboanga City Vice Mayor Rommel Agan, Barangay captains Antonio Abdulla and Haji Ben Isani and representative from Zamboaga Electric Cooperative.
Lying a few kilometers off the coast of Zamboanga City, Sacol Island is one of the best scuba diving destinations in the Philippines.
