NPC deploys additional gensets to various SPUG areas in Palawan

NPC on Wednesday (18 April 2018)  inaugurates seven (7) 600 kW additional generating sets for its power facilities in the towns of San Vicente, El Nido, Cuyo and Cullion in Palawan to provide a more reliable power supply and support tourism in the areas.

All of the SPUG areas mentioned above operate at 24 hours and serve around 12,000 households and 900 commercial establishments.

The ceremonial switch on and launch of the new capacities were held in San Vicente Diesel Power Plant in Barangay New Agutaya, San Vicente in Palawan. It was led by NPC’s Vice President for Power Engineering Services Atty. Rogel T. Teves and Mayor Nieves Rosento of El Nido.

The event was also attended by representatives of local government units and stakeholders in the said towns.
