NPC's San Roque Watershed Area Team participates in a local fire drill

NPC-San Roque Watershed Area Team has recently joined a lecture on fire prevention and fire drill of San Manuel municipality in Pangasinan conducted by the local Bureau of Fire Protection.

The lecture, which included the proper use of personal protective equipment and safety tips, ended with an actual demonstration of fire suppression.

Joining programs or activities initiated by the local government is one of SRWAT’s ways of strengthening its relationship with NPC’s stakeholders in the area.

The team finds it easier to push for their forest and livelihood programs with stronger ties.
San Roque Watershed is one of the 11 watersheds being managed by NPC. It was declared a reservation under Presidential Proclamation No. 2320 covering a total area of 9500 hectares.
