NPC - Upper Agno River Watershed Team joins local clean-up drive in Buguias, Benguet

To increase awareness on environmental preservation and NPC’s mandates for the environment, NPC’s Upper Agno River Watershed Team conducted a clean-up drive in rivers, public roads, and school vicinities in Buguias, Benguet.

Barangay officials, health workers, and police officers joined the drive.

UARWT has also organized a brief lecture on NPC’s plans and programs being implemented in the neighborhood of Loo, Buguias including the swine and seedling dispersal program. The Buguias Municipal Police Station also took the opportunity to talk about the common poster areas and the illegal posting of campaign materials in certain areas.

The Upper Agno River Watershed supports the private-sector-operated Ambuklao and Binga Hydroelectric Power Plants. It is one of the 11 watershed reservations under NPC’s management.
