NPC has received commendation from the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) for being fully compliant to Executive Order No. 2, series of 2016 or the Freedom of Information order.
In a statement, FOI Program Director and PCOO Assistant Secretary Atty. Kristian Ablan said that after a thorough review of NPC’s FOI manual and having recently conducted a seminar workshop with NPC officials on FOI, he found NPC’s conformance to EO No. 2 satisfactory.
EO No. 2 or the Freedom of Information order is a government mechanism for transparency and full public disclosure of information. It was signed by President Rodrigo Duterte on July 23, 2016.
