NPC grants additional genset to Talicud Island

NPC on Wednesday inaugurates an additional 200 kW generating set in its Talicud Island Diesel Power Plant in the Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte in response to the local government unit’s request for round the clock power service.

The inauguration and launch of 24/7 power for the island, which will benefit 617 connected households and local industries, was led by NPC’s Vice President for SPUG Mr. Edmundo A. Veloso and Vice Mayor Orly A. Amit of the City of Samal. They were joined by other LGU officers and the rest of NPC SPUG Mindanao Operations Department.

Talicud Island is a small island located behind Samal, thus the name Talicud. It boasts of clear turquoise waters and white shores that attract tourists.
