To achieve a more responsive procurement process, NPC has recently conducted a forum among its suppliers and contractors at the NPC officeโs Platinum Hall in Quezon City. Among the topics presented to the participants were updates on the GPPB issuances, components of the bidding documents, and understanding better the contracts and purchase orders.

NPC executives gather in a three-day planning session to review and redefine its vision, mission, and values, and build the organizational scorecard including its performance indicators and 2023 targets.
Led by NPC President and CEO Fernando Martin Y. Roxas and human resource & training consultant, Mennen Aracid, the 2023 NPC Management Strategic Planning carried the theme, โAchieving More with Less in a VUCA World.โ
The theme embodies President Roxasโ vision of creating innovative and sustainable solutions for NPCโs operations. The managers presented and discussed causal loops in the various areas of the corporationโs operations; the economic, political, social, technological, legal, and environmental challenges it confronts; and the organizational enablers or the resources that can allow NPC achieve its goals, among others.
The planning session's outputs will be collated and used to help NPC lay the next steps toward reaching its 2023 corporate goals and objectives.

NPC Powers Tapiantana Island in Basilan
The National Power Corporation on Monday, October 17 launched and opened its new power facility on Tapiantana Island, Tabuan Lasa in Basilan, giving 8 hours of electricity to the initial 100 household connections on the island. NPC shall also serve as the areaโs distribution utility after Basilan Electric Cooperative waived its franchise to operate on the island.
NPC Launches New Power Facilities in Zamboanga City
The National Power Corporation on Saturday, November 12 held an off-site launching and switch-on ceremony in Garden Orchid Hotal in Zamboanga City for its two new power plants in Great Sta. Cruz and Tumalutab Islands.
NPC Maintains ISO 9001:2015 Certification
After a series of audits, Certification International has conferred the National Power Corporation with a Certificate of Registration to ISO 9001:2015. The said International Organization for Standardization for Quality Management System is valid from September 2, 2022, until September 1, 2025, and contains the following scope: Missionary Electrification, Operation and Maintenance of Undisposed Assets, Watershed Management, Dams Management, and Administrative Support to Operations.
Energy Sec. Popo Lotilla Graces NPC's 86th Anniversary
Energy Secretary Raphael M. Lotilla on Thursday imparts words of encouragement and vision to the employees of the National Power Corporation as the state corporation celebrates its 86th founding anniversary.
Sec. Popo Lotilla emphasized NPCโs opportunities for growth considering that it was the pioneer in renewable sources of energy such as hydro and geothermal. He urged NPC not to limit itself to present-day affairs or present-day challenges, but to look beyond and see the opportunities for a strengthened power sector for the country.
