NPC @ 85: Thrive as One

The National Power Corporation on Wednesday held a simple virtual celebration of its 85th founding anniversary, carrying the theme Thrive as One and with its satellite offices tuning in via the online platform Zoom.

In his message, NPC OIC Usec. Donato D. Marcos pondered on the word thrive, sharing that thriving embodies both development and success. Citing sociologist and TED speaker Tracy Brower, he said that people can always decide to thrive by considering our perspective, relationships, and resilience factor, among others.

“To thrive, we need to adapt a positive stance that we can conquer whatever it is that challenges us. Kasama ng positibong pananaw na ito ay ang paggawa or being proactive,” Usec. Marcos said.

Department of Energy Secretary Alfonso G. Cusi also addressed the NPC employees, commending them on the continued services in the missionary areas despite mobility restrictions due to COVID-19 and challenging NPC to thrive in order to be relevant, responsive to the needs of the people it serves and renowned in public service.
