To involve the community in its watershed protection and rehabilitation efforts, NPC’s Upper Agno River Watershed Area Team (UARWAT) on May 27 conducted an information and education campaign and a tree planting

activity in Barangay Sebang, Buguias in Benguet.

Participants included local government units, barangay health workers, residents, and members of the Special Action Company of the Special Action Force. They were briefed on NPC’s role, coverage, and mandate in managing the watershed. Possible projects to help with the community’s livelihoods such as availing of swine and seedlings were discussed as well with local officials.
