The National Power Corporation recently received plaques of appreciation from the Municipality of Cavinti in Laguna and the 202nd Infantry (Unifier) Brigade of the Philippine Army for its contributions to preserving and protecting the Caliraya-Lumot Watershed.
BGen. Cerillo C. Balaoro Jr. of the 202nd IB awarded the plaque to the Caliraya-Lumot Watershed Area Teamโs (CLWAT) Senior Forest Ranger Wilson R. Ratac during their 37th founding anniversary in July 2023.
Meanwhile, the plaque from the Municipality of Cavinti was conferred to CLWAT during the 9th Sambalilo Festival in August 2023. The recognition was awarded by Mayor Arrantlee Arroyo and Vice Mayor Milbert Oliveros to CLWATโs Section Chief, Mr. Benedicto Virrey.
NPC expressed its appreciation for the said recognitions and asserted its commitment to helping Filipino communities and the country through efficient watershed management in the 11 watershed areas it manages.
