NPC, in partnership with the local government units of the Municipalities of Cavinti, Lumban and Kalayaan in Laguna and the Caliraya-Lumot Watershed Ecological Community (CLWEC), opens on Friday the Caliraya-Lumot Watershed Ecological Park and Training Center.
The declaring of the watershed as an ecological park aims to promote a responsible travel in the natural areas. NPC believes that the public will appreciate more the importance of watershed and will also get to learn on how to make it sustainable through the park.
Present in the opening ceremony were NPC President Ma. Gladys Cruz-Sta. Rita, Cavinti Mayor Milbert Oliveros, LGUs, CLWEC officers and members, stakeholders, the Caliraya-Lumot Watershed Area Team, Makiling-Banahaw Watershed Area Team, representatives from the Dams Management Department and Watershed Management Department Manager Emmanuel A. Umali.
