NPC opens satellite office in Tuguegarao City

To better facilitate business affairs up north, the National Power Corporation on March 19 has inaugurated its satellite office located at the Regional Government Center, Carig Sur in Tuguegarao City.

The office will serve as headquarters for NPC SPUG – Marinduque-Quezon and North Luzon Division which operates 15 power plants across Aurora, Isabela, Cagayan, Apayao, Marinduque and Quezon.

The said office is also conveniently placed in the province’s government center which would make coordination with other agencies faster.

In a modest ceremony to mark the event, Tuguegarao City Mayor Jefferson Soriano expressed his support to NPC projects not only in their city and province but also to the off-grid islands nearby that NPC serves.

Others present during the event were Acting SPUG Vice President Larry Sabellina, Atty. Charo M. Villaflor and Ms Marcita Perez from the Provincial Government of Cagayan, and Reverend Fr. Ernesto Camilo Castillejo Jr.

NPC’s Small Power Utilities Group is the functional group that operates and maintains the corporation’s power facilities in the farthest islands and communities. Currently, NPC has 276 SPUG plants across the archipelago.
