Small Power Utilities Group managers and plant heads from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao gathered today at NPC’s Head Office in Quezon City to discuss various issues on operations. The managers who were led into discussion by NPC President Ma. Gladys Cruz-Sta. Rita, Senior Vice President Danilo Sedilla and Acting VP for SPUG Edmundo Velso talked over fuel and lube oil inventory, monitoring of contracted capacity with electric cooperatives or local government units, processing of contractor’s claims and improving relationships with stakeholders.

President Sta. Rita challenged the managers and plant heads to exude more passion and energy toward work. She also shared a lesson from Angela Lee Duckworth about the true key to success which is having grit. “Grit is passion and perseverance for very long-term goals. Grit is having stamina. Grit is sticking with your future, day in, day out, not just for the week, not just for the month, but for years, and working really hard to make that future a reality. Grit is living life like it’s a marathon, not a sprint,” said President Sta. Rita quoting Duckworth.
