NPC inaugurates two new gensets in Languyan, Tawi, Tawi

NPC’s Languyan Diesel Power Plant in Tawi-Tawi gets two brand new 200 kW generating sets that will improve power reliability in the town and will consequently welcome more household connections.

Currently, the Languyan DPP services around 300 households and has a demand of 76 kW. With the new gensets, its total (rated) capacity is brought to 610 kW.

A simple ceremony was held to celebrate the ‘milestone’ in the community which endured having no electricity for a long time. The ceremony was led by Languyan Mayor Yshmael I. Sali and NPC’s Mindanao Operations Department headed by Mr. Nestor Flauta.

Also present in the ceremony were Administrator Abdulgani A. Salapuddin of the Southern Philippines Development Authority and General Manager Habibiya A. Sangoyo of the Tawi-Tawi Electric Cooperative, Inc.
