NPC’s chess team wins third runner-up in the GCAA Chess Tournament
The NPC chess team finishes as third runner-up in the recently concluded chess tournament of the Government Corporations Athletic Association (GCAA).
Individual awards were also given to Rosalito Castillo and Pablito Argamosa who both received silver medals, and Ruffy Vargas who got a bronze medal.
Other members of the NPC team are Larry Quias, Rene Otero, Jopet Omaña, Edwin Sigueza, Bonapart dela Vega and Isagani Rabara.
On Monday, June 10, the team presented their plaque and medals to NPC President Pio J. Benavidez.
The annual GCAA activity aims to promote friendship and sportsmanship among the participants from participating government agencies such as the Social Security System, APO Production Unit, Land Bank of the Philippines, PAGCOR and PhilHealth.
