Jomalig island now enjoys round the clock power supply

On April 22, NPC has increased the operating hours of its power plant in Jomalig Island from 16 hours to 24 hours to meet the municipality’s growing demand. Currently, the corporation services around 800 households in the island through the Quezon Electric Cooperative, Inc. II.

Mayor Rodel T. Espiritu, in his message to NPC, emphasized the vital role of electricity in the improvement of their local businesses.

Jomalig is an island municipality located southeast of Polillo Islands in Quezon. It is most known for its golden sand and turquoise beach waters which makes it a favorite destination among local and foreign tourists. Apart from tourism, the island also thrives in agriculture (coconut farms and root crops).
