NPC grants 24/7 power to Cuaming Island in Bohol
NPC on Wednesday grants round the clock power service to Cuaming Island in Bohol to urge the local community engage in small businesses.
The ceremonial switch-on for the 24/7 power was led by NPC’s Acting Manager for Visayas Operations Mr. Perfecto Llorente, Bohol Governor Edgar M. Chatto, Congressman Aristotle Aumentado and Inabanga Mayor Josephine C. Jumanoy.
An estimated 500 households are to benefit from the extension of operating hours in the island from 8 to 24 hours.
Cuaming Island is part of the municipality of Inabanga, Bohol and can be reached through an hour of boat ride from the port of Tubigon. Fishing is the main source of livelihood in the island.
