NPC-LFI Care Packages reach Catanduanes, delight beneficiaries (Nov 24, 2020)

Over the past weekend, NPC-Ladies Foundation’s care packages arrived in Catanduanes and were distributed to National Power Corporation staff and families at the project office, at the homes of the operators, cleaners and security guards, at the Balongbong hydro-electric power pant and Marinawa diesel power plant in Bato.

NPC LFI President Ambassador Virginia H. Benavidez said that this is only the beginning of sending love and care to help and bring joy to our fellow citizens affected by destructive typhoons.

“Their heartwarming smiles and words of appreciation tug our heart strings and inspire us to do more, give more and help more. NPC-LFI will continue to help in whatever way we can to assist more affected families rebuilding their lives in the Bicol region and Cagayan province,” said Ambassador Gee.
The Foundation expresses its deepest gratitude to generous donors from the entire NPC Team, family members, friends, helping hands, prayer warriors and all those who in their own ways extend assistance and support to our fellow Filipinos in great need at this time.

Prior to the delivery of the care packages, Ms. Loida Leona, Secretary of the NPC-LFI Board of Trustees offered heartfelt prayers for the care packages to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the affected families, for the safe travel of the truck ferrying them, for the protection and strength of the drivers and for the safety of the NPC personnel and their families receiving the care packages.

After the prayer and send-off, the Foundation also distributed more special care packages to the service crew and security guards at NPC Main Office affected by the severe flooding in Marikina, Montalban and San Mateo brought about by typhoon Ulysses.

Amba Gee further said, “our experience to be the hands and feet of JESUS to people in need is really awe-inspiring. Making our lives count for others, standing ready, giving, caring and sharing, holding on and leaning on each other like family. SERBISYO at PUSO (Service from the Heart) at its best!”

“For we are GOD’s handiwork, created in CHRIST JESUS to do good works, which GOD prepared in advance for us to do,” (Ephesians 2:10).

NPC LFI sends printers to FNHS in Bohol (20 August 2020)

After the successful virtual turn-over of an ICT classroom to Fatima National High School last July, NPC’s Ladies Foundation Inc. has gifted the school with two brand new printers just in time for the start of another school year.

LFI President Ambassador Virginia H. Benavidez said that the printers are aimed at helping the students to further enhance their ICT skills. The printers will likewise greatly assist the teachers in creating modules for their students in this time of distance learning.

FNHS Principal Ms. Ma. Robilla Espejo expressed her gratitude in behalf of the whole school, saying, “your kindness and generosity warmed our hearts, especially that of our students.

“Thanking, praising and glorifying GOD in everything we do to help our beloved students and teachers during these extremely trying times,” Ambassador Gee said in reply.

NPC LFI holds virtual turn-over of classroom project, says Covid-19 can’t stop its advocacies (July 6, 2020)

The NPC Ladies Foundation Inc., on July 3, turns over its ICT classroom donation to Fatima National High School (FNHS) in Bohol via Zoom conference.

Originally scheduled on February, the turnover ceremony was hampered by the spread of coronavirus in the country. To ensure that the classroom would be ready for the opening of classes in August, the Foundation arranged for a simple ceremony in Bohol with school officials and a virtual participation of its Board Members.

The simple and physically distanced ceremony was graced by FNHS officials and staff led by Ms. Robilla O. Espejo (Principal), Ms. Catherine Majomot, LFI representative from Bohol, and the LFI Ladies via Zoom headed by Ambassador Virginia H. Benavidez.
“All glory, praises and thanksgiving to God alone for another impactful and timely project for the benefit of FNHS students and teachers who would be involved in blended learnings and online classes during these challenging times amidst the Covid-19 battle,” said Ambassador Gee Benavidez.

As a testament to its commitment to help people, the NPC LFI would soon start a virtual program to start raising funds for another classroom project, this time in Luzon.

Ambassador Gee is positive that the pandemic can never hinder the Foundation to perform its mission, saying, “I have always believed that if we have a mission with a vision, passion with compassion, we can make things happen and great things come to life. We all have a stake in doing the best we can for the education and empowerment of our beloved students - the future of our nation.”

NPC employees send aid to affected community in Batangas (January 29, 2020)
After the NPC employees heeded the call for cash and in-kind donations for the families affected by the eruption of Mt. Taal, a team of employees led by Corporate Communications Division Manager, Ms. Maria Elleanor Danganan went to San Nicholas, Batangas for a relief operation on Wednesday, January 29.

The NPC team brought at least 200 bags of toiletries and 200 bags of easy to cook goods, bottled waters, biscuits, and rice for the residents near San Nicholas Elementary School.
