NPC, Philippine Army Conduct Another Foot Patrol Operation in Angat Watershed

On November 24, NPC – Angat Watershed Area Team and the 70th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army conducted a foot patrol operation in Barangay Kabayunan in Doña Remedios Trinidad. The operation resulted in the detection of timber-cutting sites and the confiscation of a power chain saw.

NPC and the Philippine Army regularly conduct foot patrolling within the watershed to discourage and apprehend illegal activities and violators.

NPC continues to call on individuals and families living near or within its watershed to join the cause of guarding the forests which nourish all forms of life including our own.

As mandated by Republic Act 9136 or EPIRA, NPC is tasked to undertake watershed management in 11 watershed reservations in the country which covers around 485 thousand hectares.
