NPC-UARWAT, Bokod Pupils Celebrate Girl Scout Week with 'Plalking'

NPC’s Upper Agno River Watershed Area team (UARWAT) joined the girl scouts, Supreme Pupil Government Officers and Little Doctors and Nurses of Bokod Central School in a community clean-up drive to celebrate Girl Scout Week.

Dubbed as ‘plalking’ or picking up litter while walking, the activity also involved the pupils’ teachers and the PNP personnel. Everyone has been diligent in collecting waste from plastic bottles to candy wrappers in Barangay Poblacion in Bokod, Benguet.

UARWAT shared with the participants the importance of protecting and conserving the watershed and the environment in general.

The Upper Agno River Watershed is one of the 11 watershed reservations that NPC manages. It follows the path of Agno river and its tributaries, from the river’s northern headwaters along the slope of Mount Data Natural Park at the Benguet-Mountain Province border all the way to Itogon in the south.
