NPC-MinGen reaches out to local families, distributes food packs

To create a more meaningful celebration of NPC’s 85th anniversary, NPC’s Mindanao Generation group on November 4 has organized a community outreach program in its host barangay in Iligan City.
With the assistance of Barangay Ditucalan village chief, Jasmin Pates, NPC – MinGen invited 100 indigent families to its Guest House in Iligan. They were given a health briefing which centered on the need for vaccination against COVID-19 and the health protocols to combat the disease. Food packs and bags of rice were then distributed to the families.
A representative of the beneficiaries thanked NPC for the assistance and said that the economic relief assistance will go a long way in helping them cope up with the challenges posed by the pandemic.
Mindanao Generation is NPC’s arm that operates and maintains the Agus-Pulangi Hydroelectric Power Plants in Lanao del sur, Lanao del Norte and Bukidnon.
