NPC through its Watershed Management Department (WMD) launched on Friday, September 04 its Arabica Coffee Plantation in Bocod, Benguet and in partnership with DOLE-registered Cobabeng Boboc Arabica Planters Association. President Ma. Gladys Cruz-Sta. Rita and Association President Johnny Bugnay signed the Memorandum of Agreement that covers the 107 hectares of land to be planted and the 107 beneficiary families of the program. Mayor Mauricio Macay of Bocod and Mr. Emmanuel A. Umali of NPC-WMD also witnessed the signing of the agreement.

In her message to the community of Brgy. Bobok Bisal, President Sta. Rita encouraged the families to find viable and productive livelihood to improve lives and contribute to the uplifting of the economy.

President Sta. Rita also visited NPC’s Independent Power Producer in the area which is the S.N. Aboitiz-managed Ambuklao Hydroelectric Power Plant.
