NPC President Ma. Gladys Cruz-Sta. Rita briefs President Aquino and Angat Dam stakeholders on Angat Dam and Watershed Management on Wednesday during the Briefing on Angat Dam and Dyke Strengthening Project in Norzagaray, Bulacan.
Citing a report by the GIS-based Atlas of selected Watersheds in the Philippines done by the Department of Science and Technology and University of the Philippines Los Baños, President Sta. Rita was happy to share that “Angat Watershed Reservation prides itself as one of the remaining well-forested watersheds in the country.”
President Sta. Rita said that Angat Watershed is not only one of the well-preserved and managed watershed but also home to hundreds of species of birds, wildlife and trees.
