WESTNUK RESORT PAVILION has risen from scrap and other recycled materials from the abandoned bunk houses of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP). Westnuk Resort is inside the BNPP compound. From the labor of love and skilled hands of the NPC support services staff, the pavilion rose literally little by little over a period of one year. Part of the team is welder Rose, a contractual worker now at NPC, who in her younger years, was one of the many women trained by the Americans to do the welding works at the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant. It was just an elevated concrete slab used as "tambakan" -- from an eye sore dumping place to a beautiful and functional pavilion. Congrats to the resourceful BNPP Team!
