NPC managers and executives made themselves present at the workshop on the 21st Century Leadership Style and Performance Management conducted by Dr. Ambrosio dela Cruz of the Human Resource Innovations and Solutions, Inc. (HURIS), a Philippine-based Knowledge Process Outsourcing and Consultancy company.

The three-day workshop intends to further develop the participants’ skills and knowledge in managing employees’ performance and in producing results. Specifically, it will enable them to lead transformation using emotional intelligence, deepen their appreciation of self-mastery as foundation for becoming inspiring leaders and strengthen their leadership capabilities allowing them to create a high performance culture.

“The workshop is a combination of theory and practice, actual situations are discussed so everyone is able to participate” said Mr. Palawan Lomondaya of the Agus 1 and 2 Hydroelectric Power Plant.

Mr. Serafin Farley Meneses, Jr. of the Major Repari and Maintenance Department on the other hand finds the workshop interesting. “Continuous learning is important, it is through this that we can assess our self-maturity, interrelation winth personnel and peers and we can also enhance the way we handle people,” he explained in Filipino.

Also a believer of lifelong learning, President Ma. Gladys Cruz-Sta. Rita joined the managers in the workshop while a second session will be held next week to accommodate another batch of managers.
