Employees, security and utility personnel of Pulangi IV Hydroelectric Plant have offered a gift of life to the needy through a bloodletting drive held at the plant’s compound in Bukidnon recently. The blood donation activity which was done in cooperation of the Philippine Red Cross was able to collect an estimated 13,000 mL of blood from donors.
OIC Plant Manager Engineer Albert O. Antonio who was a donor himself thanked all the blood donors for their unselfish and kindhearted act which will go a long way in helping the victims of accidents and patients who are in dire need of blood transfusion.
Meanwhile, on December first, the Pulangi IV HE Plant conducted a fire emergency drill.The scenario was a Class A/C fire which started at the second floor.
As commented by the staff of the Bureau of Fire Protection in their graded evaluation, the drill was a success with a Very Satisfactory performance rating. The fire was extinguished within fifteen minutes including the actual performance of all the members of the Disaster Response Force (DRF) including the Damage/Disaster Control, Search/Rescue and Evacuation, Fire Suppression Team, Medical Team and the rest of the teams who properly executed their roles on said eventuality.
The activity aims to make safety a way of life for all the employees.
